my story
HOW I RECOVERED FROM HA AND BECAME A MOM OF THREE
Hi friends! I’m Lindsey Lusson – Registered Dietitian, momma, Christian wife, and food freedom enthusiast. I didn’t always have such a free and positive relationship with food, but I truly believe that my experiences have allowed me to connect with and support others in a very real way.
In my 15 years of studying nutrition and exercise, I’ve learned a lot about how under-eating can wreak havoc on your health and your hormones. For over a decade, I did not have a natural period. When my husband and I wanted to begin trying for a baby, I felt lost with no direction on how I could get pregnant. By the grace of God, I found a book about Hypothalamic Amenorrhea (HA). I decided to stop all exercise and eat much more. In less than a month, I got my period back! Three months later, I got pregnant naturally despite being told I would need fertility treatment to start a family.
This experience led to wanting to support others who have lost their period due to HA. I now help women all over the world recover natural cycles for health and fertility while improving their relationship with food, exercise and their body. My hope is to help you feel encouraged and empowered that you can recover your period and restore your fertility through better nutrition!

fun facts

After living in Dallas, TX for 10 years, I moved back to my hometown Waco, TX to be closer to family.

My husband and I met 10 years ago at a mutual friends’ Christmas party. This couple ended up being in our wedding and we are still very close to them today!

My favorite thing about being a mom is having the opportunity to teach my kids how to have a healthy relationship with food.

I love to travel! My favorite trip so far was a 2 week trip abroad to Italy and Germany.
